Position Summary Edge is seeking a Human Resources Generalist.
This position works closely with plant operations by providing personnel and HR support to improve plant performance.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas:
employee relations, performance management, compensation, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, leave administration, regulatory compliance and reporting.
This position also has an active role in increasing employee awareness of health & safety initiatives and serves as a member of the employee safety committee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Execute full cycle recruiting process (coordinate across departments to determine staffing needs, create job descriptions and postings, promote job positions, conducts recruitment efforts for all non-exempt manufacturing hourly personnel, resume review, interviewing, pre/post-employment onboarding) Develops, implements and monitors HR functions, policies and programs.
Provides support to management in areas of employment, employee relations, organizational development, training, benefits, compensation, safety, employment law and employee relations.
Maintain and foster effective lines of communication with all employees and management.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing employee suggestions, concerns and other issues Responsible for employee engagement activities by coordinating HR projects, employee meetings, training, surveys Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance Recommends appropriate employee relations actions to establish a positive employer-employee relationship.
Advises management and/or employees with course of action.
Compile and report HR Metrics information to management monthly - including turnover rates, track of exit interviews with reasons for separation Works with managers to promptly and thoroughly investigate employee relations incidents.
Maintains thorough documentation.
Reviews and approves recommendations for termination to ensure that the progressive disciplinary process is followed Prepare employee separation documents and conduct exit interviews, sharing results with management as appropriate Ensure legal compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws Serves on the Edge Manufacturing safety committee participating in plant safety Work with managers on investigating and documenting workplace injuries and incidents.
Manage Workers' Compensation claims.
Backup to Payroll & Benefits Administrator Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred or 3-4 years of experience in HR preferred with at least 1-2 years in an HR Generalist capacity.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Excellent verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion.
Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude, and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
